    It's also worth noting that if the senate do not vote to impeach him (needs a super majority), the senate can still vote on whether to bar Trump from future office which only requires a simple majority.

    The bit I don't know is whether they have to vote on such a vote happening and if so, does that vote need a supermajority? I suspect it does. In any case, conviction isn't the only path to barring office.
