Will happily take take off your hands when the CAAD is complete - would work a treat in my hallway!

I'll keep you in mind if and when it's up for sale. (It's a 54 by the way)

I’ve scanned the last 10 pages or so, but can’t find what I’m after.
Does anyone own one of those wooden wall mounted bike shelf things that the bike’s top tube sits in the middle of?
A bit like the attached pic.
I’m after a recommendation for a decent one. Thanks

Random, but do you mind me asking what that seatpost is on your CAADX?
Strong dale collection there.

What's the best thing to use to put under the wheels to stop bikes on these pedal mounts from tipping forwards?
-
• #1532
The one at the top can't because the saddle hits the ceiling, but the ones underneath frequently rotate forwards which drives me nuts

the borgen ones i got come with a little lip for one of the wheels. but a small block of wood would do it.

(ridiculously good bike pairing btw).

I guess I could use some VHB tape to stick small, nice looking bits of wood to the wall.

I have no idea. It's been in the parts bin for year and always used it as a placeholder before I got something branded. Looks like it's CNC'd maybe.
Got this code on the back if that helps identify?

Ah okay, thanks. It's nice! Was just looking for something similar, with little offset hence wondered.

Do you need to put blocks under or would something with a higher friction with the tyre rubber (like rubber mat/tile) stuck on the wall at the contact points do the trick? Just a thought.

I had a small block of wood with a single screw. Doesn't need much.

How much space does that take up in total vertically? I'm looking at options to store bikes off of the floor in quite a small space (so that I can fit another bike in our downstairs loo). For some reason I hadn't thought of the fact that the bikes could overlap with this sort of setup. Getting 2 bikes on the wall instead of 1 would be ideal.

Any ideas for storing 17 bikes? Several have tubs, and there are two tandems.
Asking for a friend, obvs. 'He' has a garage

Anyone got any clean storage solutions for wheels? 4 of them to be precise.
For inside a flat, not a garage. I'm thinking something like those bike racks where you just slot your front wheel in - but obviously a lot smaller and closer together as no need to account for the actual rest of the bike. I dunno.
Any ideas welcomed.
Is the answer simply a cupboard?

Maybe something like this:

Anyone know anything similar available in the UK? Not hard to replicate though I imagine.

I've got two big hooks screwed into joists (in my garage) with a scaffolding pole across with all my wheels either in wheel bags or directly on the pole.
It'd look, er um, interesting in a house though, unless inside a big wardrobe.
Bit like this, except with loads more on it

Your mean ‘your friends’ garage?
-
• #1545
Ah yes. Thanks. My friend's garage.
I might ask him if he has any up to date photos.

My cheaper solution was some old sofa legs screwed into the wall. They were just long enough to get two wheels on, but struggled a bit with anything over 2". No photos unfortunately. Thos offset hooks look good, but I'd imagine a bit more offset would be ideal so you can fully clear a cassette or disc rotor.
-

Yeah the offset looks useful. I don't actually think you'd need much as you could either put the cassette on the outer side of the outer wheel, but I imagine it would slip through the spokes of the wheel behind anyway, you don't need too much offset for a lot of wheels I don't think (from brief wheel boxing experience)

My ceiling is 2.4 metres from the floor, I get four bikes overlapped on the wall, with the lowest around 15-20 cm off the deck, so enough height to hoover etc underneath.
The key thing to the overlap I've found is what your pedals are - Speedplay Zero have a lot of axle relative to for e.g. a traditional Look style pedal, so the bike with Speedplay will hang further away from the wall- which makes it easier to overlap.
In my picture the Criterium is at the top because the pedals on that are conventional road pedals, which hold it closer to the wall than the CSi which has Zero's, and is slightly further out - more room for the handlebars to occupy a space slightly outboard of the forks of the other bike.

Anybody have any experience or advice for mounting into metal studs? Any specific wall anchors, plugs etc?
-
• #1550
Yeah. Got some fancy screws. Done good.
Just got a bike nook, free standing bike rack as I don't want to hang bike from breeze blocks. Really sturdy and doesn't take up a lot of room. https://smile.amazon.co.uk/dp/B06XXSHGWR/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_YK11W9RQHTY92FPKMP69?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
