Doctor friends of mine who are married, one has had the vaccine, the other has hesitated because she is pregnant and there is little data for this case. Which I think is fair enough.

Had a follow up call with the doctor, temp is 38 again, o2 sats are ok, but lungs feel putrid and its a wet cough rather than dry now.
Been prescribed antibiotics. Hopefully that will help.

People a long way down the queue “everyone should get vaccinated there’s no excuse”. People at the top of the queue “wait, hold on, what’s actually in this?”
You should get the jab, no excuses :)

Just received a new £20 note in a birthday card, the first time I've seen one. It was launched a year ago in Feb 2020 and I've realised I haven't touched cash except the pound coin for a supermarket trolley in nearly a year.

Can you get a postal PCR test? I’m just wondering about the logistics of self isolate for 10 days and getting tested on days 2, and 8.
Planning on travelling back when I’m at the top of the list.

I had a similar realisation recently. My Mum gave me £100 in a Christmas card in 2019 and only just spent the last of it last week!

London's demographics are beginning to cause a problem where there is capacity and vaccines but not enough Tier 1-4 patients remaining to fill it.

4600 quarantine rooms doesn't sound like it will quite cover the number of people who arrive in the country over 10 days or am I missing something?

Anyone with a lick of sense will fly in through a third country, so if anything it's far too many.

460 a day = handful of flights into one airport.

I had this the other day - my partner left a fiver on the side in the kitchen and I spent a good few seconds looking at it and thinking “wtf is this” until I realised it was cash.

The biotech/pfizer vaccine - uses newish technology but the tech has been around for a while. https://www.nature.com/articles/nrd.2017.243 Interesting article from 6 years ago.
What is being looked at is the effect of going in positive that everything will be fine. Remember the other vacines are older tech but we got rid of small pox and polio.
Flipside is covid seems to be having some long term side effects too.

Pubs might not let you back in if you don't have the vaccine

Fingers crossed, be careful.
You may cough up a little fresh (bright red) blood as the wet cough can be quite violent? Keep a note when it happens. The is little can be done, unless excessive hence keep a note. If it is dark dried blood still have difficulty breathing go to A&E.
Advice I got after my first A&E visit.
