I don’t understand the fundamental issue with supertuck. Is it the speed that’s achievable in the position that presents the problem? If so, introduce a speed limit.
Riders appear to be in control in supertuck, with full access to brakes.
Supertuck allows a tall rider to achieve a similar aerodynamic profile to a small rider. There’s a case to be made that the UCI is being heightist.
Could these rules get the UCI cancelled?
Banning puppy paws makes little sense to me. It just isn't dangerous on closed roads and people only do it when on the front / in the wind. I think they don't like the head unit as mini aerobars look though, but surely you can just keep an eye on head unit mounts to make sure no one takes the piss.
The super tuck ban I'm fine with. Anything that makes descending more dangerous seems sensible to ban before the accident rather than afterwards.
