Were you able to prove the value? Was it within the £50? There’s something with the value rules that if you’re sending anything worth over £50, you should use Special Delivery. Because if something gets lost and it’s in fact worth more than £50 and posted Signed For the insurance is void. Same as if you’d send item worth £3k through Special Delivery (which only insures up to £2.5k) and it goes missing, you get nothing because the insurance is void. Hope this makes sense.
I never had a problem with claims and the cheque usually comes within a couple of weeks.
It was slightly over the £50 (£63) proven by ebay sales invoice. Not really, not sure why I wouldn't have received £50? If I insure my car for £4k and its worth £5k I wouldn't expect the insurance to be voided if it was stolen?
