Do you mind me asking how old you are?

The doctor on the phone seemed to be fairly happy with my current condition, but is going to call daily to check that it doesn't degrade over the next few days.
Went out yesterday to put out the rubbish in the garden, the cold air set off a coughing fit and short shallow breathing cycle where I curled up in a ball and felt that I was suffocating, so a big relief to talk to a doctor.
Doctor was going to send us an oximeter, but pleased that we had one already.Think its going to be a long long time before I'm out on the bike again...
Childcare hasn't really been managed very well, but kids are still alive and getting fed and washed. Daughter has been spending a lot of time watching the iPad, sometimes doing some phonics and sitting with us while we watch something stupid on TV like Tipping Point.
Mum is out of lockdown, and dropped us off some lunch. She made us some Korean Yukgaejang soup, which I could actually smell a bit of, and I had a little cry.

It may be as I'm registered at a gp small town where my wife's family live. But I'm still surprised they check my age aswell so no mixup in documents. I'm 45

Do you work/volunteer with any at risk groups? They've started providing show to those groups in my area.

kids are still alive and getting fed and washed: All that's needed for now ;)
Soup smell working us good news fingers crossed! :)

Nope I've just been back in uk for 2 months just settling again. The only thing I can think of is I have a heart murmor but that hasn't effected me for ages. V strange. I feel like some one who needs it more should have it but not sure how it works

Just have it if you've been offered it - they'll get to everyone in time.
-
• #20860
Like the other's said, get it. Some places are struggling to find arms of those in the first priority groups to put the vaccine in to, which slows everything down.
-
• #20861
Yeah I figure it's best to go with it. Will be more of a hassle to then to rearrange rebook.

At work we’re supplying staff and volunteers to one of the vaccine hubs. They are all offered a jab at the end of a day’s shift as there are always doses left over.

I wouldn't underestimate how pungent Korean food can be :)

A friend of mine volunteered locally a few weeks back and got jabbed with leftovers, dispite being young and healthy, she said that a passer by tried their luck and got the last dose by hanging round too. Also heard of a couple of friends of a friend turned away from the big centre at the Ethiad this weekend after receiving an email about it but I don't have enough details to know why.

Enjoy the unlimited 5g and bill jobs knowing your every move....
-
• #20866
I have to say I'm a little nervous about it simply because it's such a new rushed through vac. I'm no way anti vac oh well unlimited 5g sounds good
-
• #20867
Not so much rushed as very efficiently processed. Checks and balances were still there, but it didn’t spend weeks on various civil servants’ desks waiting its turn to be seen. :)

Yeah bad choice of words but it's the long term effects if any that are unknown that's what I mean. I'm just not great at putting chemicals in my body that are not recreational and even then I'm a lightweight.

I'm not sure if there is any truth in that. There needs to be reasonable confidence for any intervention to be authorised and used.
But whatevs, if you don't want it, don't get it. Not sure there's anything anyone on here could say to persuade you.

Heh, I didn't get a chance to try it yet :)
There's a Korean place in Belfast but it's watered down I think. Didn't feel very pungent/spicy when I ate there.
Looked up that soup, it's condensed onion with meat by looks of it, looks tasty :)

Pubs might not let you back in if you don't have the vaccine

He literally said "Yeah I figure it's best to go with it."
I may be misinterpreting here, but not really sure the passive-aggressive remarks are warranted here.

r u new here?

Good point, probably a bit of rose-tinted glasses going on here!

I'm not sure the recreational chemicals have had quite as rigorous testing as these vaccines TBH.
Got a call today about having my first vaccine shot. V v surprised. I'm not in at risk section.
