I was lucky to get a gilt one (got a confirmation email so hopefully done deal). In the same spirit I'll offer it here in case it doesn't suit.

How did you managed? there was no way to purchase when I checked, but then again I was 2 minutes late once it open at 2pm.

I noticed the same as you, no add to basket, but noticed that it appeared for a split second before the not available message. So I hovered over the button, reloaded the page and immediately clicked.
