On One Pompino owners...

Hey folks,
about to join the pompino gang rather soonish, used frameset on its way to me.
What size of seatclamp goes on the pomp? I know it takes a 27,2mm seatpost, but what diameter of clamp do I need? Thank you in advance :-)

30,0mm (or 29.8)

There's lots of options. I don't think it's any more unusual than other sizes. Remember what @svenhöek said though; some manufacturers call it 30.0mm instead of 29.8mm (or they actually provide a 30.0 and it compresses the extra 0.2mm).

I've had one from eBay on my pompino. IIRC it was branded Acor or similar (but don't quote me on that) and cost about a fiver. Worked fine.

Salsa lip lock is indeed a lovely clamp if you can get one.

Just a quick google but I'd go for something like this:

The bit that the bolt goes into can pivot which helps the clamp do its thing with more clamping force for less torque on the bolt.

Anyone knows the colour code for the grey v4 Pomp? Trying to spray carbon forks in matching paint.

Not painted, just clearcoated bare metal, so I don't think you'd get an accurate match.

Yep. Even changing tyres can muck it up. Mine looks like shit if you look at it square on. I choose not to look at it square on, the lazy man's fix.

what's the rack you have on there? Does it hook over the bars? Lovely looking Pompino.

Quick question chaps - I've noticed the the fork on my V4 has been drilled at the front of the crown. I assumed this was standard but apparently not. Does this weaken the fork at all? It looks like it's been done pretty well, from what I can see ...

That's reassuring, thanks all. I'm assuming that due to the relatively low death rate above it's not compromising the welds at all.

The rack is by Mash SF. Not connected to the handlebar, it bolts to the fork crown with the thickest steel tang I’ve ever seen. Expensive, but I’m beyond impressed with it.
