I think Dornblüth has at least a 1 year wait. And that’s optimistic. Around £4-5k too. I’d be looking at something more available, Grand Seiko maybe? Although they like to put that silly logo on the see through caseback. Maybe Speedmaster with the sapphire sandwich? (I can hear the pitchforks)

Have you looked at Habring? Eg the Felix. Minimal finishing but done in quite an interesting way. In many ways less fancy than GS but more “by hand” and less industrial, arguably.
As my birthday is coming up I find myself thinking about watches again. I think I'd like a manual wind with a movement that's nicely decorated and well exposed through the caseback. I think I'll send an email to Dornblüth to enquire. Anybody care to mention other brands/models?
