I definitely prefer horizontal.
I think it looks nicer and I also think it's easier to see the continuous grain transition between the doors.
Not that you can see from these photos but; these run up because there’s a tall cupboard involved. But then the bench runs the other way as it’s long and thin.
Your wide drawers will suit it better running horizontally, in my opinion.
Looks way better with the grain running left to right.
Vertical for me, especially if you have tall units. Looks great with a Rubio Monocoat Plus 2C White stain too.
+1 for vertical.
