I was planning on buying a 3.0 V6 TDI Toureg but I didn't because:
If they have air suspension its expensive to repair.
They eat tyres
They eat front brake pads and discs
Running costs are fairly high in terms of "normal" servicing
They need a replacement propshaft and/or prop shaft bearing every 80-100k. If you test drive one and the centre console arm rest is vibrating it's either gone or on the way out.
Watch out for "corrosion on fuel tank straps" in the MOT history - means it's probably pretty grotty underneath.I would get one from post 2008> as they have the better 240bhp TDI and 30 quid less road tax
What’s forum opinion on the vw Touareg.
