I don't use the drops on the turbo, maybe when I finally get back to racing weight. I think it's sweat dripping down the arms rather than from the palms

I think wide wrist/sweatbands could be a game changer. Then I don’t need to pick the towel up to wipe face, as well.

I’d boil to death in that. My garage is barely above freezing point at the moment. Yet I steam up the windows and leave a puddle behind.

Why isn't there a Rapha indoor training sweat band and towel set
-
• #3732
There is a Rapha turbo towel...
-
• #3733
Is there? No mention of it on the AU/NZ website
I'd actually be tempted by one, the one i'm using has gone crispy like a towel at your nans house

There goes my awe at your power numbers on Strava.. Crazy to hear there is such a big difference, but welcome to the erg life.

This might actually solve a lot of my problems.. I typically wear a normal cycling cap, but it's usually drenched after 2 intervals and then makes things even worse. I will now spend the next hour picking from one of the colours.

Ha! Thankfully I am not too wedded to my ftp number and am just enjoying the process of getting fitter while binging on Netflix, Tidal and UFC. Hopefully the muscles that are protesting after a couple of goes on the new turbo will be rapidly recruited and develop, which will hopefully increase my power output to then help improve my fitness, burn more calories and aid further weight loss. Recent life stuff has slightly interrupted my training schedule and led me to cut things a little short so if the calories used increase it’s all to the long term benefit.

Of course I now want the rapha turbo hat and a halo band
But this will be costly given that I need three or four headgear items so I can put something clean on each time. Am sure I should be able to find some 80s tennis headbands for a fraction of the cost

I've got a rapha towel. I've never actually used it on the turbo because it's the softest towel I've ever owned and I don't want to sweat on it and have to wash it every day so I use it as a general face towel for washing and shaving.

still trying to figure out how anyone watches stuff whilst doing TrainerRoad. Maybe you can switch off a bit more with Zwift but my ability to follow instructions on TR and watch something at the same time is almost zero.

I tell myself this but... 🙃

Do you actually need to follow the instructions on TR? You mean things like the single leg drills?
I find it difficult to concentrate on Netflix or videos when doing high % FTP (sweetspot and above) intervals in Zwift. Not much instructions to follow other than the power target, cadence, if you're using ERG mode.

Depends on the intensity obvs
If someone makes a noise when I'm bouncing off the rev limited they will immediately be killed with eyeball lasers if it breaks my concentration and fucks my interval. This is even more apparent doing supra VO2 shit whereas in SS I'd normally be ok.
