Some talk of this in the gravel thread a while back: https://www.lfgss.com/comments/15671183/

Contigo byron (from tesco) - SS wire cage from Planet X - keeps pretty damn hot for a good 2 hrs+. Leak proof and can ride and sip too when you get the knack of one hand opening.

Has there been any thought given to one of the wonderful talented designer folks on here designing an LFGSS bottle or two and doing a big order from Specialized perhaps?
I'd be happy to help in whatever way I could with facilitating but not sure I have the design chops to come up with anything of much use?
Edit:
Found this thread which obviously didn't result in sweet sweet bidons for anyone... -

Laying out graphics to slap on a bottle after a day of work or on a rainy weekend is easy.
Taking payment, packing, posting and administering a couple hundred orders after a day of work isn't. That's why that caps thread went on for years...

I'm happy to deal with the admin if it worked out although I suspect that might not be all that simple now that Brexit is completed and I'm in Ireland, presumably the majority of orders would be in UK...

Elite Fly MTBs have a much larger cap design. Doesn't look as sleek and they're not as nice as Podium bottles (mine leak all the time), but it works so much better at keeping the crap out.

I can help with the graphics no worries

Interested in lfgss bottle! Also in Ireland though...

I find the body material goes to shit very quickly. Too thin.

Yeah me too. The larger ones tend to just fold up after a few rides.

Can’t be a protracted forum thread without a list!

Ding me up for 4 LFGSS bidons!

Bro. List.
I predict we get to 50 we’ll before anyone steps up to the plate to handle money/distribute.
I’m terrible at logistics so really wouldn’t trust myself with everyone’s coin. -

🙄 yes brother, I will list it brother. (My phone sometimes messes them up & I end up having to type out/copy paste the etire list, this one should be ok at this stage)

Aight, I'll message boss man and get forum blessing for Lufguss bidons and try and figure out a way to make it work, perhaps take submissions from designer folk here and do a surveymonkey thing or something... might need to have a UK distribution person and I can distribute all others?

• #167
In if it’s a bidon version of this...

• #168
Might be nice if it was in some way matchy with the kit...blue puke?

Excellent, so boss man says to fire ahead.
I'm not sure if it would be best to keep it in this thread or start another one but there's no need to do a list just yet as I'm thinking the easiest way to handle all of this might be to use a crowdfunding platform and position the bidons as "donation prizes"... If anyone has a better suggestion do let me know and once the designs are in I'll make a thread for the bottles then.
With regard to designing the bidons I won't be doing this myself. There is one criteria that must be maintained and that is that the bottle must use the official forum logo you see on the top left hand side of the page here as a tribute to Big Daddy Wayne who originally designed it.
@Velocio is going to send me on a file with the logo and anyone who wants to have a go at designing the bottle can PM me and I'll pass it on to them.I'm open to suggestions on what bottle to use also. My initial reaction is to go with Tacx Shiva 500ml as the shipping won't be as painful as Specialized and I've been quite happy with the ones I've gotten from Band of Climbers, price has been favourable too.
Obviously bidons will be 500ml and I reckon the newer Shiva Bio or O2 (if we go with Tacx) would be good as they're biodegradable/ made from sugarcane rather than good old fossil fuel plastics.
So...
Suggestions below please for:
- Bottle brand/ model
System for sales/ taking payments
If someone wants to handle distributing the bottles in UK that would be great because I suspect if I were to ship them all from Ireland it could be nightmare since Brexit.

Excellent shout, that may be the answer to the distribution issue anyway.
Edit: Actually I'm sure they won't want to individually package a few hundred bottles and ship them so probably not...

Nah I guess it’s a case of ordering 100 or whatever and some brave fool posting them out one by one (well in batches prolly).

LFGSS Workmark (logo) by @big_daddy_wayne attached.
The .eps is the master produced by Wayne, the rest are just exports in different formats.

Readers... but my partner teamed up with Pop Cycle Co and illustrated these bidons recently with a message for International Women's Day. They did a black and a transparent version.

Cool design, reminds of Matisse 👍.
I found these terribly leaky around where the lid screwed onto the bottle
