That happened to me a few years ago. When the businesses go pop the contracts are sold to a diff supplier (usually EDF or British Gas). There's nothing you can do about it. You go on to their most like-for-like tariff which will undoubtedly be more dorrah.
We're on Octopus now and take their Super green energy plan which is 100% renewables. It costs a bit more but it makes me feel like an eco-warrior. Their user-interface and customer service is the best I've ever come across. Everything is so simple to use. Worth paying a bit for that.
Our energy provider ceased trading last month. Ofgem have appointed EDF as our new provider but we need to have a look around as we're pretty sure that they won't provide us with the same deal that we were on.
Finding it hard to find information as to what our rights are in this situation, does anyone have any pointers?
