  • 2hrs at around 2/3degrees and windy, these are going to be perfect when it's really cold.
Warm as toast (and as @TotalShanner says), bit sweaty, little bulky but waaaayyy better that lobster mitts, highly recommend. Bought XL as usually take a L glove but these fit, er, like a, what's the word...

  • I also ordered XL. Was tempted to go for the XXL incase they were tight with liners but even with liners the XL still feels nice.
Pretty happy with mine and likely to try a few more bits from Galibier.

Next thing I'd like to try sort is agonisingly cold toes. Two pairs of socks and overshoes over fizik R1's and I might as well be riding barefoot.

Any recommendations for wide fitting winter shoes welcome. Any brands that work well for broad feet?
Had to send back the size 11 and 12 planet x ones I bought a while ago.

  • I’ve just bought the Shimano MW7 in 46 but need to return them because they’re too narrow for my feet + winter socks at the toe box.

Lake winter boots are meant to be wider fitting so I’ve ordered a pair of Lake MX145 also in 46 to see if those work better. They won’t be as waterproof, but I’m hoping my Endura neoprene overshoes will fit on top when needed.

There’s also the Lake MXZ303/304 which look a bit more like they’re made for winter in Vermont.
