I just got a letter from the freeholder confirming they would extend straight away with our last place.

As in a letter saying they would be willing to extend to a new owner? Was the freeholder a local authority?

Yes, literally saying the new owner could start the process immediately. We were at 80 years so more problematic.

It was a housing association (shared).
