Yeah, problem is that due to a previous conveyancer's mistake, we thought the lease was longer than it was, so the offer was made and accepted based on the basis of longer lease. It's quite a long way down the conveyancing road now but no one seems suitably worried or has asked me to actually start the extension process.

yep @cjr ^ best, unfortunately is to tell them to do one.
Unless you want the lease extended anyway.
