Not sure if this is right place to ask but on the subject of sweat does anyone have any pro tips for rehydrating and settling down after a session? Because of morning/daytime commitments i do all my turbo time from 6.30pm onwards and i find that i can neither rehydrate properly or switch off for sleep. I drink a lot of water and/or squash mixed with salt after but it doesn't cut it and i end up pissing most of it back out. Should i just get a big tub of electrolytes?
I used to do high intensity workouts in the evening where it was common for me to loose a 2-3kg in sweat and never struggled like i do now. Maybe it's age?

I got a vacmaster air mover fan because @Amey said it was good and I was #influenced

My shifters were also not fit for anyone else.

Try and be fully hydrated before you start, keep hydrating during your exercise, continue rehydrating after your exercise, remember you can’t absorb more than about 2 pints of fluid an hour. Try to leave 4 hours after exercise before you go to bed. Hydrating with something isotonic is better than water. I’m certainly feeling greater effects with age!

This is likely where i'm going wrong. Thanks, really helpful tips, 4 hours afterwards might be tricky but being awake out of bed sounds better then lying there broken.

And I got influenced to put each one on smart plugs.
Also headbands are great for stopping a lot of the sweat, particularly if you wear glasses and the sweat drips and streaks on the inside of the glass.

Headband basically essential!

Fuck 9 months of squinting through sweat filled eyes and I never thought of a headband.

Haha once you get one (or a couple) you realise how much you sweat, when you have to wring it out over a sink...

I used some of the freebie neck buffs you get at sportives and magazines, but also have some towel style ones.

I need to find a triple or five pack so I can wear a fresh one each time.
I am fully aware of how much I sweat as I can easily lose 2-3 lbs in 90 minutes on the turbo

Yeah, +1 on the sweatband.
I got a cheap one that came with in a bundle with 2 wristbands too, which are great for not having to reach for a towel to wipe any sweat that has made its way past the headband etc. -

Yeah, I bought a set of maybe 5x head and wrist bands ages ago as the previous lot weren't drying out fast enough with daily longer sessions (and I wanted to look more like James Hetfield)

Must've got the headbands another way. They're not in amazon

I go for more of a Tupac bandana style, which gets washed in a sink, wrung out and dries quickly on a radiator for the next day.

I was using cycling caps for a while but they'd get soaked and then drip and I wanted something cooler (temp, not sex appeal). I don't have my boy scout knot badge so I have to stick with 80s tennis look.
lads this is a concerning new trend
