If I get to the point where I'm buying a car, a Civic Aerodeck would be the one.

It's almost definitely going to look tacky but I'm going to attempt to paint (or get someone else to paint) a bike modelled on that Civic.

• #62061
yes it has and that Mk II GTI tops it off nicely

You know that was the rego that came with it, right? It was just meant to be, mate... I sprang for posh skinny plates... I was considering buying TONSLEN til I realised what I had before my eyes...

Last one I owned was GT5. Always picked up the Civic when I could and tuned it to it's limit to win as much as I could with it.
Can't remember how if that game had the spoon version (probably didn't) -

EK/EG civics are great, I think quite a few people have mounted a K20 engine in them sideways.
Also, I vaguely remember hearing about a CRX 4wd system being put into an EK. maybe just rumour/made up though.

Just did a wheel alignment but our car still veers a bit to the right on the motorway. I've checked it on several different roads to make sure it's not the slope of the road messing with the steering.
Is there a reason for it to veer slightly to the right (in Sweden so we drive on the right) or should I take it back?

road camber on most roads will slope down towards the kerb

It's a bit of work but put your rear wheels on the front and vice versa. This could prove it or otherwise that your front tyres are unevenly worn.

I feel like @hoops could absolutely pull this off.

No doubt, I'll see how I get on.

• #62071
oh, wow. i take it back. that is amazing.

I know, hence testing on different roads and also driving on the wrong side to test my thesis. On the left side of the road, where it slopes the other way, the car drives perfectly straight

In the states I know it's designed to do that on purpose to prevent veering into oncoming traffic should one fall asleep

Interesting. Gonna try and see if I can swing the tyres over and give that a try
It bugs me now that I have to counter steer at all times, but from a safety point of view it makes sense

I've dug into the alignment on my 911 quite extensively, using a company called Center Gravity in Atherstone (who are excellent), and if setup correctly and on a road that is flat (doesn't have a central crown to make water run off to the side) a car should track in a straight line.
That's not to say your place haven't aligned it to pull right as some kind of safety initiative, but it's not what the car should be doing, the profile of the road should do that rather than the configuration of the cars suspension.
They were only fitted to the LSE and maybe UK only I'm not too sure/cared that much. Just found out what they are worth.
