I'm still trying to find someone from my old hometown impressionable enough to carry out my plan to change the "BASILDON" sign to DILDO by covering up the unwanted letters with sheets and putting a fake D over the S.
It's only about 5 feet high so I reckon a crack squad could do it in about 3 minutes with the right prep.

Probably less, drap AS and D in black tarp tightly, and cover the middle inner of B.
This without creating damage.
To make it more apparent; move the covered B next to I.
