I cut my GME losses at ~60%. Will have fun playing with the remaining balance to see if I can recover anything (with less volatile and more established stocks) but it's a useful lesson in that I should leave this type of gambling well alone. Luckily it was just a bit of play money and nothing serious.

Hopefully this lesson has saved me from trying to chase the loss and throw even more money away.

Fuck me, just had a look at some pension calculators. Have to up my contribution to basically 10 bloody percent if want to retire before 70 or whatever the state pension is by then. Assuming it still exists I mean.

Oh also don't forget you have to save up a house deposit at the same time! Fuckers

I started mine later than I should have at about 33. Even with my companies 16% I'm putting in 10% on top per month.
