Ski jumping. They only go far because they land on a curved slope.

how do you propose we remedy this?
virtual horizontal from the lip of the jump or just land to flat?

My preference would be for them to come down a slope, up a ramp and then land on flat ground.

We wouldnt allow jumping off a hill in the long jump or triple jump
