BR-R573
BR-R463
BR-R353FTFY. Notionally belonging with 105/5700, Tiagra 4600 and Sora 3500 respectively. They all have the same geometry.

Cheers me dears

I only thought it worth drawing attention because 463 is the clear pick of the bunch, having proper brake shoes unlike Sora but without the needlessly expensive finishing of the 105, which is almost entirely cosmetic.

A quick look on eBay brought up some Campagnolo Mirage but no Shimano as mentioned above- anyone know anything about those?https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Campagnolo-Mirage-mini-V-brakes-/114648379947?_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49292

Looks (un)surprisingly similar to a Tektro 926AL 😉
Generally, you want to be looking for arms which are in the form of a C-Channel, like the Shimano ones or the higher end Tektro/TRP models. The cheap ones like the 926AL and similar can be found wanting in the torsional stiffness of the arm, which can lead to sponginess, poor modulation, chatter and all the other things we're trying to avoid by ditching cantilevers.

no Shimano
Yeah, unfortunately they were hard enough to find when the German shops were still shipping to the UK. Bike-Discount have 353s for cheap, which you can effectively upgrade to Tiagra by adding XT brake shoes and that often comes out cheaper than buying 463s, but you'd need to add more than that to your order to get over their £160 minimum basket for UK shipment.
SJSC have 353 fronts in stock, the rears only differ in the lead pipe angle.

Got a little bit confused with the description on Bike24, the BR-R353 (and the other ones you mentioned as well) can be used with traditional road bike levers?

can be used with traditional road bike levers?
Yes, despite what Shimano says 🙂 I think we've been through this before on another thread.
Edit: Yes, we have, here https://www.lfgss.com/comments/15491864/incontext

The issue with STI, and presumably the reason Shimano says don't do it, is that the gear lever takes up a lot of space between the brake lever and the bar. This can limit lever travel, especially if you're 2-finger braking. With slapdash assembly and no attention to maintenance, you can end up with insuffient braking. Shimano have to allow for this as they supply bikes to shops and end users who can't tell their arses from their elbows. With care, you can have Shimano 90mm Mini-V brakes and STI levers and be just as safe as you are with any other rim brake.

ah well, thanks for the detailed clarification! There should not be any issue with singlspeed levers in this case.
Tektro feel like the arm bend before power is being applied right? As if the pads is as soft as @amey memory foam mattress.
