  • lol thanks

Wasn’t that much fun. I can really feel the last 3 months of lockdown life have impacted my running ability - working long hours from home and not doing any s&c work is really exposed on a long run. I got round in 3:53 which is fine but 30mins slower than when I ran Berlin back in 2019. I forgot gels and powdered drink so had to make 3 shop stops and that wasn’t ideal. Felt fine for first 30 and then the next 12 was just very cold, tired and cramping. Anyway got it done and that’s the main thing. Better training routine required moving forward though!

  • Well done for getting on with it though, even if it felt like a bit of a slog. Really interested to hear how each one plays-out through the months for you. Are you bothering worrying about times etc or just playing it by ear on the day?

I’ve signed up for the 200km Feb thing on Strava and am thinking of splitting it into two 21.1k runs at night, at each end of the week with a short midweek lunch run. Never run more than 22k in one go so hoping to be able to squeeze out a marathon in March if I’m not injured.
