Ochs und Junior did/do some really interesting stuff with colour. They’re not quite the same company they were originally but they still offer loads of customisation options. Their configurator is fun to play with.

Baltic have a lovely GMT in teal.

I didn’t realise they were 39mm. The blue and grey one is nice too. Maybe slightly too literal a GMT-Master copy, and I don’t like the distorted date disc numerals, not many complaints otherwise.

This might be one of the most domed crystals in the business (Corum is in a league of their own).

I know you've got more seiko's than you could shake a stick at but I've always loved this SARX.

I was texting @inchpincher about the LE blue one of those the other day, the dial and dial furniture seems really quite good for the price point.

How loud is it?

Could you get away with wearing it in a library or sleep in the same room?

Louder than a normal automatic due to the plastic case. Nothing like as loud as my son’s quartz Swatch.

You wouldn’t hear it in a drawer. And it’s definitely librarysafe™️.

They are quite large watches by the way. They don’t weigh much but they’re thick. In a light colour I can imagine they look a bit oversize. I like it a lot though and it’s definitely horologically interesting (entirely robot-made, low part count, central screw holding it all together, etc).

Currently really want a black SNK809 with a double dome crystal.

How hard a swap is that? Crystals seem to be ~$35. Which puts the whole thing at ~£120 excluding a new strap.
