Try taking of the DR pusher and giving it all a good clean and apply liberal amounts of grease when refitting it. Back off the limit screws on the pusher too (tbh I’ve always found these to be pointless anyway).
The gear cable going in to the anchorage can have no tension on it when you tighten up the grub screw and it will most likely still shift up fine.If you undo the gear cable does the chain shift down or does it stay stuck in the bigger cog?

If it’s current shifter, probably the shifter playing up. Try bending the lever down towards the floor (they are surprisingly hardy so don’t worry about it snapping off), as if you’re trying to rip it off, often sorts it. Otherwise it’s to your local friendly Brompton dealer for a shifter warranty.
Looking for some advice - my s2l isn't shifting properly, won't go down to the smaller cog. I've replaced the cable, seems that's not the issue. The cable is moving at the connector end but the derailleur isn't turning, so I'm wondering if the spring could be the issue - any tips?
