I picked up a Canyon Endurace frame with a crack in a seatstay for very little with the intention of fixing it up as a winter bike. This came without a headset and fork, which I am now discovering is a real pain to source. I have a fork from a frame I cracked myself a while ago I was intending to use, but from the research I have done this will not be compatible with the frame with its usual headset in.
Does anyone have any solutions for this? I've had a quick look for either a non-stock headset to take a 1 1/8 fork, or some kind of shim on the fork steerer to add the required diameter but have not found success. I would be very appreciative if anyone with some experience could help me out.
Of course all this is irrelevant if the epoxy job doesn't go to plan, but I am naïve and optimistic. I can show the progress of this if anyone is interested.
