Well it’s going to be three grand and “limited” to 3000 pieces, plus they did a green MM300 limited edition of almost 2000 pieces only a couple of years ago, so I’m pretty sure it won’t sell out immediately. However I also doubt you’ll see significant discounts at any point. You might be able to beat someone down if they’re not shifting - I do think the price is a bit punchy and people seem unimpressed with the stubby new 3 o’clock marker. HTH...

Hm, I was fairly sure they’re all the bare alu of the insert rather than white...

Love this

Late reply, but that Hodinkee is an incredibly fancy version of the G-Shock I wore as a child, 25 years ago, and it survived everything I threw at it. Never managed to buy another the same. Got the DW-5600 on a nylon strap at the moment now.

Wasn't familiar with the tragic dive it is in reference to (Reverse Moon Landing) and have been reading up on it today. Crazy stuff. -

Uh, on closer inspection I think you are right... I blame the poor lighting in my home office.
I class that as a free upgrade so I'll take it...

Real nice! I love that it's a really nice diver at a good price and is not a blatant rip off of something else. And the blasted case finish, and the minute hand 😍

• #51334
Where did you pick it up for 800 quid? I'm after the blue one.

Jura with their super keen January sales. They are still on at 950 now with 10% discount, making 855, so not bad at all. I managed to get either 12 or 15%, whichever adds up to £807.50!
Delivery was about three weeks though, as it had to come from Switzerland to Jura, then on to me.

Very smart in the brushed finish. I bought a Squale strap from this seller for mine - please buy a Milanese and sell it on to me at a discount if you don't like it.

60s Seikomatic Weekdater. Freshened up with a herringbone strap. Ignore day/date!

Ha. Unlikely. Loving the rubber strap for now, and already ordered a knock-off Erika before the bloody watch was even delivered...

I think this is quite lovely.

The day window on that is special !

Thank you.
Not overly fussed about a discount, but good to know I needn't sleep outside the Seiko boutique.
I agree the 3 o'clock/date is needlessly clumsy and fussy (why not just hollow-out the 9 o'clock marker) when scrutinised, but at arm's length it doesn't matter to me.

I’m not sure why they’ve added that little bit of extra marker. This is the SLA019 they did not long ago.
Which is as all the other MM300s are. I mean I don’t think it’s a total abomination or anything, I’m just a bit puzzled because it’s not something that has ever featured on the 1968 / Marinemaster line to my knowledge.

That looks fresh out of the box! 😍

By speaking to folk?

I dunno, it’s trying to be fancy but that movement looks very rough for a twenty grand watch. The Vacheron shames it IMO.

Better (which isn't to say "good").
A quick search finds a UK SLA019 for £2.8, which isn't an overwhelming discount (compared to a new SLA047) and the green bezel insert doesn't particularly move me one way or the other.
Thanks for your time, either way.

Hey, no worries.
What it should have is a proper date window surround like the SLA025 & SLA029.
But then, they are a lot more expensive. I guess date window surrounds don't come cheap.
My Squale is metal text rather, I quite like how the white text give it a very functional look.
£800 is pretty good!
