  • This is the second one I have owned. Sold the first one to fund another watch and instantly regretted it.

Helson had sold out at the time so bought second hand. My second one is also a <100 serial number like my first one (number 41).

I'm surprised they aren't considering a restock. I think they sold a batch about two years ago.

  • Orange Barton strap from Amazon is good. Would recommend.

  • They didn’t rule out a restock but seemed to be more interested in flogging me one that sounded a bit like a franken of bits they had laying around.

On a related note, why haven’t Omega reissued the OG? Surely there’s demand

Maybe but I'm not sure he other ploprof reissue was that popular. Maybe @ejay2.0 has a view...

  • New strap for my favourite watch

  • Love a Pepsi turtle.

  • What do those in the know think about the Iriomote Island Seiko (SLA047 specifically): they'll sell-out immediately on release, or could the canny buyer see a discount in six months or so?

  • Metal G shock Friday

(these mod bezel and bracelets are really well put together!)

  • Nice.

Does it have the little orange light or the indeglow style one ?

  • it's a yellowy green, it's a bit shit but works better than the small casio I had when I was young which lit up so bright you couldn't read the numbers

  • Still with the Super Compressor this week, it's definitely growing on me (although it does look like it needs a clean already)

  • Trying a nato. Not quite a match. Also prefer the feel and operation of my old leather strap.

  • New watch Friday. Very pleased with this. Never used a rubber strap before but this one is very comfortable.

  • Honestly loving this.

  • Squale strap are wonderfully comfortable, if you’re looking for a more classic one, the original Tropic one is worth getting.

Is the bezel text is white on that 1521?

  • Love. The solar is ace. 3000 pieces

  • I think this one is 'classic' enough for me. That said, give it a few months and I'm sure I'll want to play with some strap options...
    Yep, white text on black.
Btw I think it was pics of your Squale that helped convince me to go for this. Never even tried one on before, so it was quite the punt at £800, but I'm v happy.

  • Ah, I see you’re a man of culture as well.
