Put the chain all the way into the hub, then back off 1/2 a turn, connect to the cable.
Take up the tension, in 2nd gear, the smooth section of the hub needs to be 0.5mm out of the axle.

The locknut on my indicator chain came off which has led to my brompton effectively being single speed for quite a while. I've finally got round to finding a suitable nut so need to sort this out.
I've not done anything with Sturmey Archer gears before, how do you work out how much to screw it in by?
