    Yes, that's exactly what is happening.

    But once you can buy again it could go right up again. There won't be the volume to close out all of the shorts unless some of the big holders sell.

    But (again), if enough of the short positions are closed out then the short squeeze is over if the number of shorts positions becomes a chunk less than the number of floating free shares.

  • There won't be the volume to close out all the shorts because the volume doesn't exist. They're over their heads by 10m+ shares, which is why they're trying to tank the price with short ladders.
