Thanks @leggy_blonde - who knows what I'll do. A pair of TCs in a 30c would be the ticket for me. Not that I found the 28c lacking. Also might just need wider rims. 19mm internal is nice, but 21mm+ is nicer...
@Zed I rode this morning and really gave it the beans. I think I've found that for the 5000s to perform as well as the TCs did, the pressure just needs to be higher than I would like. It wasn't the comfiest ride, but it was fast, grippy in corners and rolling resistance felt like zero.
