I couldn’t afford an ebike with the performance I wanted, so took a punt on a kit from electroncycles and fitted it to a 10 year old full sus Trek. CYC mid drive with a 52V 1700ah battery, stock controller died so I upgraded to a BAC 855 , thumb throttle and torque sensor, got me places I haven’t been for years on a bike. Always a trade off between power and range, great fun however you use it.
