The shape of those is a bit... dated

Decent bars and really light. Let me know if you decide you like them. Really comfy and hoods sit amazing on them. £60 would do it. I can check stem length and bar width if you need

How does one mount a Garmin/wahoo?
I’ll think about it if they’re 120x40mm -

120mm x 42cm. 390grams. Two bolts under the stem to mount a Garmin

So the cannondale came and (finally) went
Mostly I was fed up with rim brakes and 25c tyres but it was a lot of fun to ride. I knackered the freehub on the tune wheelset I was using on it so that pretty much sealed the deal so rather than replace those, I'd sell up. It was going into winter anyway
Current line up includes:
CAAD12 that I'm now doing all of my riding on. I had been riding my Genesis as it's winter and this was going to be for summer but since WFH, I haven't needed the dynamo and mudguards so I'd rather take a lighter and quicker bike for group rides
Don't actually have a photo of the genesis but it's an 853 Fugio with the bridges replaced for fenders and drilled for dynamo wiring though I never got around to wiring up the rear light.
Painted in nasty Hammerite silver with a matching painted home made stem, hammered fenders etcI've got my first home made frame. It was built without a jig, in a workstand having never brazed anything before and it's nowhere near straight but you know what, it rides really nice.
Loss of the aforementioned wheelset and a snapped derailleur meant this is now sat in bits waiting to eventually be fixed up and shipped off to my parents to live out it's days as a spare bike for me when I visitRitchey classic finishing kit, Sram rival 22 with (badly) stripped rival 10 speed cranks
Then there's the cursed Exploro which came with a crack in it. I home repaired that and it's held up the very few times I've been able to ride it. But the seatpost will not stay up for love nor money so I have to do something about this when I get around to that.
I think I'm just going to epoxy it in place and wrap the opening in some carbon to make it a full on ISP frame. I'd love to find a post topper to add back some adjustability but the aero shape of the post means that's pretty much not going to exist off the shelfStill got this which I built, rode for a bit and then put away. It's sat without bridges and needing a new rear disc mount because it's in the wrong place making it somewhere between 140 and 160mm rotor natively. Columbus Life I think. Rides nice. I'm just going to fix it, paint it and sell it very cheap

I got the Genesis whilst I was in my previous job. I was mostly commuting, doing some gravel and occasional road rides on my own. Now having a group of colleagues that are mates who ride regularly on road, I'm less bothered about tyre clearance and want something faster and more fun which is why I've been on the CAAD so much.
I'm happy for it to stay that way, I'll have the 3t for any off road duties when I finally get around to fixing it. The CAAD will get replaced with something in the future which will be a labour of love. Similar bike but TA and all internal fully hidden wiring/hoses.But first up is the winter bike.
It isn't going to be needed until next year or for wet rides in summer/autumn but I basically want to replicate the fast summer road bike feel, only with mudguards.
The genesis will take a 42c tyre, it's quite heavy (a good thing for off road and commuting) and it's not a perfect fit
So the plan is to build myself a winter fast road bike (after the queue of other builds, don't worry Tijmen)Inspo
I love the clean fender mounting on the wishbone. Clean lines and no clutter are going to be a priority.
2x Shimano R8070
I've got a carbon fork with dynamo internal routing
I may go QR, not sure yet
28c tyres with guards
Carbon fenders are a possibility -

I have a guy who could make you one if you want one...

There's definitely more in that basement

They're all either broken or not mine so they don't count as real bikes
-
• #188
that blue self build is really nice

Who's your guy?

• #190
Looks good man

Provisional dibs on the Life frame :) what size is it?
-
• #192
I'll chuck a ruler at it!
-
• #193
I could also change it to thru axle rather than current QR if I were to redo the rear triangle
The genesis fork doesn't have mudguard mounts -
• #194
I have a Moser Leader AX which needs a new downtube but that I don't have a use for in working condition so I may put track ends on it for no reason other than I already have them

I'll PM you his details, I don't think it's his full time gig but may utilise workshop of full time gig so I don't know if he's keen on details being shared publicly...
