    most people i saw on them (pre-'rona) were taking them on the train and then using them to get from the train to the office, either that or taking kids on them to school.

    in both cases these people would have been walking otherwise.

    i think the case where it's 'last mile' transport where it replaces that last part of the journey rather than walking is the worst thing about them, and i think that's where a lot of the uptake will come from

  • A load of London public transport is (or at least was) almost at capacity though so getting people off public transport is also a positive.
