I tried;
Drilling, to put a bar through the post (the bar just bent)
Cutting the length of the seatpost (with a hacksaw blade in a jab saw holder-thing)
More wrestling, this time with a blow-torch heating the seat tubeI wonder if I had a workshop bench (and vice or two) I could probably have got a result with the same techniques.
