  • He just didn’t seem sharp enough.

Agreed. Also that right calf must have been taking a lot of mental energy to push through. It was starting to go purple at the end of the fight. The right-left to the jaw at the start of the flurry looked like it dimmed the lights on McGregor, and his right leg might have been too beat up to let him stabilise and avoid what happened next. Wrought iron chins on both of them, phew.

Did anyone else lose interest in CM years ago when he brought a lot of toxicity into the sport? I understand why he did it, and I think it was a shrewd move that paid off massively for him, but at the cost of creating a whole mess of wannabe mcgregor assholes outside the ring, IME ymmv.

  • I stopped giving a shit when he fought Diaz at 170lbs. The fact that he lost was one thing, but that’s when the farce began for me.

Punching an old man in a pub, smashing a bus, the Mayweather fight. No interest there. Gracious as he is in defeat, I’m interested in martial arts not soap operas.

  • Gracious as he is in defeat

Definitely has some sort of PR manager writing for him, trying to rehab his image a bit.

    Stealing this.

  • Yeah he's a tool bastard, the money and all the hype around him ruined it. He even came across as sore loser over khabibs comments as if he was super respectful previously himself.
