I dunno, when my wife bought mine from Nicholas Hacko in Sydney he said there's no issue with getting them wet. I mean, I'm not swimming in mine but I don't panic about either. If it was ever submerged I just wouldn't activate the chrono....

I think this is a great approach as long as the watch is regularly serviced and maintained.
