The cabinets will be painted... erm... soon. They get delivered pre-primed, and the fitting adds minor pieces of wood to ensure a perfect fit to the kitchen walls, etc. All of it gets painted in situ when it's all completed.

    Today is:

    • Electrics: sockets, fuse box, spur, appliances
    • Plumbing of appliances and the radiator
    • Skirting boards may be done too
    • Stonemason doing the worktop has also visited and measured up for the template

I have 5 people on-site today... it's a bit noisy and hard to work.

The worktop is challenging... the boldness of the pattern and the worktop needing to fit a U shape means that no matter how I do it the veins will run in different directions. So I'm presently opting for the two long sides under the cabinets to go end to end, and a shorter section on the sink end.
