I'm using a Sinewave Revolution after switching bikes to one with a fork that doesn't suit The Plug III I was using previously. I've found the Sinewave to be reliable, though I've not really come up with a position for it that I'm really happy with aesthetically

How much heat does it generate? My plan had been to put it in my bar bag so I can keep the battery pack with it.

Looks like cable exits in one spot, so thats an improvement.
But I really don't like the little stalk it's sitting on.
No idea whats going on with the fat cable and the little box. -

I've not noticed anything, but I have it mounted on the bars so it's pretty well ventilated. When it's charging a cache battery sat in my stem pack, the battery gets warm in the same way as if you're charging it off a computer

@yoshy I believe the sound indicates perfect connectionwhich is a good thing. Lack of sound is the opposite.
@crossedthread no hard feeling:). Is your experience. However I am contemplating with a battery option to feed my existing set-up hor thos hard hills. Research in progress.

Ah, that actually looks very good!

The sound indicates current can flow from one probe to the other with very little resistance, whether this means the circuit is working or faulty depends on the circuit.

Looks good! The single, adaptable mount for guard/seatstay/seatpost in the same box is a big benefit.

I don't speak German beyond a few basic phrases, but found this really nice and calming as background chatter for some reason :)

Anyone got any recommendations for a switch to put in the cable to turn off the rear light if I need to?

Brake light kill switch? You been watching Cannonball Run?

Stealth mode engaged

haha... no it's just for the inevitable moment where I don't need to be seen from behind but a bit of more consistent brightness on a climb when I'm riding slowly (which, if it's night time, will be all of them).

Has anyone had any luck fashioning a bracket to a b&m Secula (mudguard version) to enable it to be mounted elsewhere? Ideally seatpost or saddle

P-clip on seatstay -> qr mudguard adapter -> mudguard mount secula
-

Interesting... Don't suppose you have that QR mudguard adapter came in a set of two?

If you want the pre made, but I guess the one you want is out of stock

what kind of wiring have you got? There are loads of latching switches on ebay that I imagine would work with lots of systems, but I don't know of SON coax cable would make that harder

I'd question if they'd be any efficiency benefit to turning off the rear. The power draw is so small for the rear light compared to front.
The safety benefit of the rear being on seems to outweigh the additional equipment and failure mode of having a switch purely for the rear.
You could always unplug a spade if looking to be rear facing incognito.

Supernova so it's just the double wiring.

Absolutely. Most of the rear lights draw around 30mA.

It might be deep in the box. I probs want to hang on to it though, found them really useful in the past

okay okay.. stupid idea then.
Looks from the photos that the spade are in that bottom left corner of the reflector.
