Put drops back on mine the other day. Gave it a quick clean for the first time in ages and realised I really need a new chain.

Like that. I had exactly the same basket on mine. Can you lower it any more? It’ll make it a bit more stable if you can.

I did have it a bit lower and closer to the headtube last time I had these bars on it but there isn't really enough room to use the drops then. I might have a fiddle with it at some point to see if I can get it lower.

Ahh, good point! I was using risers on mine at the time so didn’t even realise that would be an issue.

I see a few Pompinos here with Bluemels fitted - when fitting them, have you had to drill a hole in the rear guard to screw a bolt up into the seatstay bridge? I want to replace the Raceblades on mine ...

Yeah, that's what I did.

Thanks very much. Daft question but did getting the curve on the mudguard prove tricky depending on the position in the dropouts?
-

it can do for chromoplastics. I ended up using a spacer on the chainstay bridge

Thank you. The aesthetic horror of a badly fitted mudguard would drive me mad.

Wet nice clean build. What hubs/rims you running out of interest?

• #8263
please process your RAW files

The weird thing is that these had an uncut steerer, but are still slightly too short, even with a relatively low stack headset, but as long as you haven't got an XL it should be fine

Thought so, do they come in 24mm ? or is it a weird BB

Plain old GXP

Got some of the same cdf forks for my Pompetamine too, but was a bit surprised they weighed something like 1.3kg... wasn't for a weight weenie build obviously but that's a fair bit more than even the original heavy forks.
Bike looks great btw.

Yeah, they're not the lightest. But it'll have a full carbon Ritchey fork on come spring. And the brake judder seems to have disappeared going from original to CdF forks. Which was the main reason for changing.

I've been looking at rear racks for the Pompino, and pretty much settled on the Tortec Tour Ultralite. Has anyone on here got one fitted? My only concern is the arm fouling on the v-brake noodle near the mount ...
