I'm hoping this is for real and someone genuinely rides this in true YOLO fashion.

I've owned 4 Surlys and sold 3 of them for very reasonable amounts to people on here

You dont qualify for my critiqué as you now own a Soma and a bike with Pinion

That was me. It was £280 at trade I think. It was a mistake, but hey you live and learn. Also I sold it for a very fair price.

Soma may be worse than Surly. I bought that too.

Don't forget I had a Canyon too!

Nodders own Canyons

why do Surly owners have delusions of grandeur when it comes to pricing their bikes to sell?
Because people still pay that much for a second hand version.

Why so?
No point in comparing top of the line tyres with bottom of the barrel frames.
Full disclosure: I ride RH tyres on a 26er Muddy Fox drop bar conversion. It's a blast.

Pretty sure that's a stoker stem off a tandem...

EVERY surly that comes up on ebay, FB marketplace, on here is overpriced by about 3 times.
I’ve noticed this.
To be fair ... it may be that the Surly market knows better than most the value of used aluminium and carbon.

Here in NA Surly is actually one of the cheaper cromo options along with soma and VO

Sweet! that red number looks nice

Yeh, I thought the cranks on the @Josh post looked like Shimano 600 series. Had a quick look... The FC-6206 triple was used in both the 600EX road and M700 XT Deerhead groups.
@Belagerent 's is definitively WI.

Ding ding correct.
-
• #24624
Ah, I have the 600 road double but small enough NW chainrings in 130bcd are proving kinda difficult to find. It's FC-6207 what I have.
Was hoping there was something similar looking in 104/94 BCD. Probably not going to pay retro WI prices.

You are right, there is no 3rd type. Maybe a bike shop employee but that buyer exists in all sorts of bikes.
