I'm trying to work out what one it is. I have a CAAD7 next to me and it's nothing like it

CAAD5. The cable stops on the downtube rather than the headtube give it away
-
• #13729
It's the decals that are throwing me off. Seat tube is very minimal which is strange for Cannondale and CAAD on the chainstay?
-
• #13730
Yeah seat tube and chainstays do look wrong but it's definitely a caad5. Maybe it's had new decals
-
• #13731
Yeah that's my thinking. Saeco looks way too small too
-
• #13732
Maybe it's had new decals
You can see the outline of the decals over the paint. Something weird has happened.
-
• #13733
Yeah they're all wrong on closer inspection. I think I remember the decals being under the clear coat on my old frame so not sure you'd be able to peel them all off anyway, maybe some.
Maybe it's a resprayed caad, not even saeco? -

resprayed optimo ?
-
• #13735
Optimo was their fancy tubing from CAAD7 and onwards I believe and it's earlier than that

My 2nd saeco, same colourway, had stickers over clearcoat

I've just received my replacement CAAD12 frameset on my warranty, but I felt like building something different/got bored of waiting for Cannondale to send a new frame so I am offering the frameset up for sale. I thought I'd post in here first to see if there was any interest.
They've sent me the graphite/black frame used on their 105 OTP. It has a couple of hints of chartreuse on the inside of the forks and also on the seat tube. It's the rim brake version (cos Disc Brakes Are Dead) and it's a size 52.
Let me know if anyone here would like it. I'd accept £500 and include a 25.4 C2 carbon seatpost and for an extra £50 can include my old forks (in the nice dark grey colour which matches nicely with the CAAD12 black IMO) that are cut down to slammed stem level for an extra £50.
None of these are my images. I can take photos tomorrow if needed.

Finished this R800 2.8. I had been lusting over the chain/seat stay geometry for some time, so had to have one. Frame made in Aug 95. Upgraded the stock 105 to DA-7700. Wheels reminded my of the Rolf Vectors seen on another 2.8 here. Needs a new saddle, stem, plus the pedals look a bit out of place but are all I have to hand. Nonetheless rides like a dream. The paint on these old frame is absolute quality. I wanted to re-spray white, but just couldn't bring myself to.
This forum is the greatest inspiration one could ask for.

How do you put shimano cranks in a bb30?
-
• #13743
with a praxisworks or wheels mfg or rotor bb30 to 24mm adapter. you can also use a semi-temporary fsa threaded sleeve to install a bsa bb

Not sure what frame you have so keep in mind that some are bb30a and will need a different asymmetrical adapter
