So is it the chest strap thats broken?
-

It’s not a chest strap, it’s actually just a strap that is connected to the main backpack strap above the silver buckles, which when pulled and tightened brings the backpack higher and closer to your back to help deal with heavier loads.
It’s 100% still useable in this state, all you do is completely loosen the left hand strap that’s still in tact to create an even tension between the two.
Unfortunately for my work I need to carry a lot of heavy and awkward loads so it’s just not a sustainable option for me, and even if I did get it fixed myself, I personally wouldn’t have full confidence in it, so it’s just not worth it for me.

Undibs. Too good, but too many bags.

Glad to hear it - did they not make you destroy this one? I've got a bag with a minor defect and they would only process the replacement once I showed them it had been 'destroyed'. Even asked if I could donate it to charity / a mending scheme and they said no...

Nah nothing like that thankfully, just had to send them heaps of photos and remove a small ‘warranty’ tag inside the bag and all good!

Have heard from a courier friend in Manchester that his Barrage Pro suffered a similar fate (seems to be an unfortunate design flaw) but he paid £15 to a shoemakers and told them to beef up the stitching to make it super strong. He’s been using it for months since it broke and says it’s still in great condition and feels much stronger.

Provisionally sold pending payment.
Had this for a month or two, absolutely brilliant bag, but unfortunately the right hand side strap that tightens up the shoulder strap itself has come off. I think I had it pulled too tight to carry and keep a particularly awkward load upright, then forgot to set it back to its normal tension so everything I carried after that was putting a huge strain on it.
I'm sure you could get this fixed at a shoemaker/seamstress etc and I’ve known people to do this when their bags get a bit knackered and it gives them a whole new lease of life.
100% still useable even in this state and rest of bag still in excellent condition and showing barely any signs of wear at all.
Ideally looking for something around £180 as they retail for £300 and I don’t think you can get them in the UK atm, but definitely happy to discuss offers.
Hit me up for any more details, cheers.
