What sort of beeswax polish?
I use my own recipe of 1 part natural beeswax to 2 parts organic mineral oil, never had any issues with it other than it takes ages to seep in before I rub down to polish.

This stuff. Came up nice in the end. Couple of coats + buffing.

Have you tried dissolving the wax in natural turpentine? You’ll need to do in a bath of hot water, obviously, to avoid a fire. I find it soaks in more quickly. For a harder finish you can add a bit of carnauba wax.

I’m giving beeswax polish a go, any tips? So far the 0000 wire wool has left dark residue in the tiny splits and grain. Not that impressed.
