pls don't make me tap my big "london is bad not good" sign
-
• #42303
There’s London is bad and then there’s properties like this.
My friend spotted it just after she’d been turned down for a mortgage on a flat directly above a kebab shop. Think that was probably a narrow escape

probably shouldn't start anti-london beef on a forum with 'london' in its title, I guess

I think LFGSS actually stands for Looking For Guys to Shoot the Shit with.
Although "guys" isn't very inclusive.

• #42306
Right who's cancelling the forum then.
-
• #42307
Nah. Just needs to be merged with the Friendliest Cycling Forum (TM).

Kintsugi (金継ぎ, "golden joinery"), also known as kintsukuroi (金繕い, "golden repair"), is the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery by mending the areas of breakage with lacquer dusted or mixed with powdered gold, silver, or platinum, a method similar to the maki-e technique. As a philosophy, it treats breakage and repair as part of the history of an object, rather than something to disguise.
I think this has the same vibe.

Our vendors got their probate! Thank fuck for that.
Everything else in our sale/purchase seems to be going smoothly and is fairly far along so we really should make the stamp duty deadline now.

making your own decisions is so early 2000's
Art should be personal to you though, what you like not what other people like!

Thats based on the assumption we are in anyway individual.

we have a few of the same old faces who object to every new bit of development, every company trying something new, every bit of improvement in the area
Ugh God yes I recognise this unfortunately. And I haven't even moved there yet!
The problem is genuine and reasonable concerns get buried under their constant moans, or they distract from the genuine issues with red herrings because they're just trying to throw whatever criticism they can think of at any given plan.

That's so like DEEP man...
(commissioned art or GTFO :P)
I will be spamming your new thread a lot. Saving lots of questions for when we've exchanged.

Bought the Jeremy Deller last year lock down print he was pumping out at £35 for charity now they are going for £500 odd on eBay.
In a way they are a bit media LLL edgy people that would also have candlesticks in day glow colours. Not sure to stick or twist. Quite like it as a print of a time but also not my fav

Get yourself a bonafide masterpiece and buy a Picasso plate. Change from £5k if you shop around / act like Lovejoy.
Opens up the interesting “how the fuck does one display a plate” question.

going TOTALLY off topic now but I loved the jeremy deller documentary he did on the BBC a couple of years ago (? last year?) (who knows, time is a flat circle etc) with all the schoolkids and the history of britain 1984-1992. well worth a watch if you can track it down

Cheapest sand/gravel/cement available.
How long do we give this? We get a municipal refuse lorry roughly once per week that will drive over this.

Some nice stuff on there.
If they put a cooker in there it probably wouldn't pass building regs/fire safety.
