you don't go for surgery and expect the doctor to ask your opinion about what he should be doing, that's his job.
Ironically that’s pretty much how mental health services currently work. Go in with all the signs and symptoms of severe depression, get diagnosed with severe depression, then get saddled with making loads of specific decisions about your treatment as if you were 1) a medical doctor, 2) aware of what all the options are, and 3) not f^#}ng depressed.
Guess it’s by design to decrease liability tho.

As a comedian said around the time, you don't go for surgery and expect the doctor to ask your opinion about what he should be doing, that's his job.
TBF, Doctors get loads of training and are held to high standards with repercussions if they don't maintain them, politicians seem to be the opposite and any cunt can do it, and many cunts do.
+1 for this. Though it definitely feels like a big 'told ya so' when there's stories like this, I have to remind myself that I'm really angry at a) the people that allowed the referendum to happen in the first place, and b) the people that lied through their teeth to ensure we left.
A decision that will likely affect almost every aspect of the U.K.'s future, and everyone in the country was give one equal vote. Why was I allowed to decide? I don't know anything about anything to do with this. Isn't this why we elect politicians, so they can make complex and important decisions on the behalf of the population? Sigh.
