I found my cross check quite ‘soft’ at the back so wasn’t ideal for me as a road fixed. You definitely get the winding the frame up on climbs etc. Is the all day not the answer for this sort of build?

I can’t imagine (lack of) stiffness is of any consequence (other than perception) on this type of bike.
