You'd think the allday would also on the shortlist but why does the frame cost £140 more than the spa for no name 4130 (vs reynolds 725) given they appear to have very similar tyre clearance? Why does the pista cost more than double. 'Brand value' I suppose?

I can’t imagine (lack of) stiffness is of any consequence (other than perception) on this type of bike.

Ex 24hr TT champ Nick Gardiner went round the 600km Brian Chapman Memorial in the fastest-ever time using a singlespeed Crosscheck.
