Hand built wheels are a minority interest as far as the industry is concerned, fixed is a small niche, track riders using traditional wheels have largely favoured large flange, so that's what became popular in the early 21st century fixie boom.
Fair enough, I was just being grumpy.
Looks like I’ll probably pay over the odds for a Mack rear. Oh well.
Not much at all. I was only looking at the Mack hub as it was a recommendation based on my criteria of wanting to match a Bitex front road hub.
As stated, all I want is a low flange fixed 24h hub. I’m struggle to see why that seems so hard to source.
